The Bison Acrylic Max Portable Adjustable Basketball System (BA853A) is the smart entry point into the Bison Max portable lineup — delivering the same institutional-grade engineering, infinite height adjustment, and floor-protecting design that facilities managers rely on, at the most accessible price point in the Max series.
Institutional Bison Quality at an Accessible Price
The Acrylic Max is purpose-built for schools, recreation centers, YMCAs, and community facilities that need a serious, durable portable basketball system without the premium cost of a competition system. For programs where acrylic performance is the right fit, this is the system that delivers years of reliable daily use without compromise.
A Backboard That Works Hard Every Day
The Acrylic Max features a 48" acrylic backboard — lightweight, highly durable, and built to handle the daily punishment of recreational and intramural play. Acrylic backboards are virtually shatter-resistant, making them an excellent choice for high-traffic facilities, youth programs, and any environment where glass breakage is a concern or an unnecessary risk. For programs where consistent recreational performance matters more than competition-grade glass, acrylic is the right choice every time.
Height Adjustment That Covers Every Age Group
The Acrylic Max features spring-assisted infinite height adjustment from 5 ft all the way to regulation 10 ft. That full range makes this system ideal for elementary schools, multi-age community programs, and any facility running youth and adult play in the same space on the same day. No other portable in this price range covers that full spectrum of play.
A Design Detail That Protects Your Investment
Most portable basketball systems in this price range mount the goal directly to the backboard, transferring every hard shot and rim impact directly into the backboard material over time. The Acrylic Max is engineered differently. The goal mounts directly to the extension arm, completely eliminating stress on the backboard during play. Over years of daily institutional use, this design decision meaningfully extends the life of your backboard and protects your investment.
Built for Real Facility Operations
The Acrylic Max is designed for the realities of daily use in busy facilities. When lowered, it fits through any 78" high double doorway for easy storage between sessions. Base and riser padding are included as standard. Easy-to-read goal height indicator labels make height adjustment fast and consistent for any staff member. Non-marking transport casters protect your gym floor during repositioning.
Optional Backboard Edge Padding
The Acrylic Max offers optional black backboard edge padding as an add-on. For facilities prioritizing player safety or operating youth programs where additional padding provides peace of mind. Purchase yours Black front base and pole padding, additional colors offered on orders of two or more at an additional charge. Call us or email us for additional details
