Try the Ultimate on your most demanding outdoor court and you'll never need to buy another basketball system. The Bison Original Ultimate Playground Basketball System BA871 is a permanent fixed height outdoor system built on a massive 6" square, 3/16" wall steel pole and extension arm buried 40" into the ground for incredible stability, with a fixed 60" safe play area and the BA39U Ultimate goal carrying the first and still the only unconditional lifetime replacement warranty on a basketball goal. Choose a 42" x 60" or 42" x 72" steel backboard at checkout. No height adjustment. Entire system covered by a lifetime limited functional warranty.
The structural foundation of the BA871 is the 6" square, 3/16" wall steel pole and extension arm, buried a full 40" into the ground in a permanent concrete anchor. The 6" square profile and 3/16" wall thickness deliver the rigid, immovable stability that Bison designed this system around. The pole, extension arm, and steel backboards all carry a matching durable black powder coated finish. A fixed 60" safe play area is built into every BA871 as delivered. The pole structure carries a lifetime limited functional warranty.
The BA871 is available in two backboard configurations at checkout. Both use a white powder coated steel backboard with official markings and a durable finish. The 42" x 60" steel backboard is the standard configuration at the lower price point. The 42" x 72" steel backboard is the full regulation-width option for courts where the larger playing surface is the priority. Both configurations ship with the BA39U Ultimate goal standard and carry the full BA871 lifetime limited functional warranty.
Standard BA871 configuration. 6" square 3/16" wall pole, 40" in-ground bury, 60" safe play area, 42" x 60" white powder coated steel backboard, BA39U Ultimate goal. Best for outdoor playground courts where the 60" backboard width is the right fit for the court space and budget.
Full regulation-width BA871 configuration. Same 6" square 3/16" wall pole, 40" in-ground bury, 60" safe play area, and BA39U Ultimate goal. 42" x 72" white powder coated steel backboard for courts where the full regulation backboard surface is the priority.
Every BA871 ships with Bison's BA39U Ultimate goal, carrying the first and still the only unconditional lifetime replacement warranty on a basketball goal. Built with a double 5/8" solid steel rim, 3/16" x 1" No-Fail netlocks, and a 3/16" thick box-style backplate and rim supports. Traditional orange powder coated finish. Premium nylon net and high tensile strength mounting hardware included standard. Accepts optional chain nets.
The BA871 is available with optional backboard padding and pole padding at the time of purchase. For any public playground installation we strongly recommend adding pole padding to your order. Both padding options are significantly easier to fit at the time of purchase than after the system is permanently installed in concrete.
The entire BA871 system is covered by Bison's lifetime limited functional warranty. The BA39U Ultimate goal carries Bison's unconditional lifetime replacement warranty, the first and still the only warranty of its kind on a basketball goal. Limited warranties cover damage during normal and intended use as determined by Bison. The unconditional goal warranty removes the normal use limitation for the goal itself. For facilities where players pay an individual or group fee to use the equipment, Bison products carry no warranty except for obvious manufacturing defects. Vandalism damage is excluded from all Bison warranty coverage.
Bison has been engineering sports equipment for courts, parks, and athletic facilities since 1985. The BA871 Original Ultimate system is built on four decades of outdoor playground engineering: a massive 6" square steel pole, a steel backboard in the size that fits your court, and the BA39U Ultimate goal with the industry's only unconditional lifetime replacement warranty. As an authorized Bison dealer, Top Sports Tech provides direct expert support, competitive pricing, and logistics coordination on every BA871 order. All Bison products are warranted against manufacturing defects at the time of delivery. In addition, most products are covered by warranty periods stated in the description of the product. Where listed as “limited”, warranties cover damage or failure that occurs during the course of “normal or intended use” of the warranted product. Normal or intended use is described as activity that is necessary for the participation in the sport for which the equipment is designed.
Bison Limited Warranties do not cover any damage or failure that is the direct or indirect result of any use that is not deemed in the sole discretion of Bison to be “normal and intended use”. When warranties are stated as “unconditional” or “unconditional replacement”, the above stated limitations do not normally apply except in cases where damage was obviously the result of a malicious act of vandalism.
Where no specific length or type of warranty is listed in the catalog, the product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects and for the intended purpose at the time of shipment. Whether or not stated as such, all Bison warranties allow Bison to repair or replace warranted products at Bison’s sole option. Normal deterioration of products due to weather, wear and tear, or other causes that do not affect functional use are not covered by Bison warranties, regardless of type of stated warranty.
All warranties are valid only when product is used in the intended application as outlined in Bison’s printed literature, when installed according to Bison’s instructions and when matched with compatible components as described in Bison’s literature. Under no circumstances will Bison Residential Basketball Equipment be warranted for commercial or institutional use.
Due to the abusive nature of pay-to-play facilities, unless specifically agreed to in writing, Bison products carry no warranty except for obvious manufacturing defects when used in a facility where players pay an individual or group fee to use Bison equipment.
Bison will pay ground freight only to repair or replace defective merchandise. Unless otherwise stated, Bison will not assume any liability for labor costs incurred for removal or replacement of product replaced or repaired under warranty.

All returns must be shipped prepaid (UPS, FedEx or truck only) to 1100 SW 6th Street, Lincoln NE 68522. DO NOT RETURN BY U.S. POSTAL SERVICE. Collect returns will not be accepted.
