The First Team PowerHouse 5 In-Ground Adjustable Basketball Goal is designed with performance, aesthetic appeal, and economy. The PowerHouse 5 delivers a genuine First Team permanent bolt-down in-ground installation with a 5" x 5" post, Clearspan tempered glass backboard mount, EZ-Crank height adjustment, and a breakaway goal included standard, at the lowest price in the First Team in-ground adjustable range.
First Team designed the PowerHouse 5 specifically to deliver the same performance and aesthetic appeal as their higher-tier in-ground systems at a price that makes a permanent, bolt-down First Team installation achievable for more home courts and recreational programs. The one-piece 5" x 5" vertical steel post provides the stability and rigidity that a permanent installation demands. The tempered glass backboard delivers the premium playing experience that acrylic cannot match. And the overall system ships with the same Lifetime Superior Warranty that covers every First Team in-ground adjustable goal in the lineup regardless of price.
The PowerHouse 5 features First Team's unique Clearspan backboard mount that eliminates any visual obstructions behind the glass. Where conventional backboard mounting hardware places structural bracing directly behind the glass and interrupts the sight line through the backboard, the Clearspan design removes that obstruction entirely. The result is a clean, uninterrupted view through the glass from any angle. For players who rely on glass clarity for bank shots and spatial reference during live play, this is a meaningful real-world advantage that comes standard on every PowerHouse 5.
The PowerHouse 5 uses First Team's EZ-Crank infinite height adjustment system for smooth, reliable rim height changes from 7' to regulation 10'. Turn the crank to set the rim at any height in that range quickly and without tools. A built-in rim height indicator shows the exact rim position at all times so there is no guessing or measuring between sessions. The 7' to 10' adjustment range covers youth through adult play on the same permanent court.
The PowerHouse 5 is built on First Team's bolt-down anchor base, designed specifically for ease of assembly and relocation. The system requires a concrete anchor installation before assembly, and the goal bolts securely into that anchor once in place. While this is a permanent installation, the bolt-down design means the goal can be unbolted and relocated to a new anchor if your court changes. This flexibility sets the bolt-down system apart from traditional poured-in-place post installations.
Every PowerHouse 5 ships with a breakaway goal as standard. The breakaway mechanism absorbs rim impact during dunks and hard plays, protecting both the rim and the backboard across years of heavy use. No upgrade is required to get breakaway performance on the PowerHouse 5.
The PowerHouse 5 is available in a single configuration: the PowerHouse 560 with a 42" x 60" tempered glass backboard. This focused lineup reflects First Team's design intent for the PowerHouse 5 series: to deliver the best possible glass performance at the most accessible permanent in-ground price, without the complexity of multiple backboard options. If you need a larger 42" x 72" backboard, a second configuration, or a wider backboard material selection, the PowerHouse 6 is the natural next step.
A 42" x 60" tempered glass backboard with the Clearspan mount, breakaway goal, EZ-Crank adjustment, and the full PowerHouse 5 bolt-down platform. The most accessible price in the First Team in-ground adjustable lineup. Best for home courts and programs that want genuine First Team permanent installation quality with premium glass performance at the lowest available entry price.
The PowerHouse 5 is available with two padding add-ons worth considering at the time of purchase. For a permanent bolt-down installation, adding padding after the system is in place is significantly more difficult than ordering upfront.
Both systems are built on the same PowerHouse platform with the same design philosophy: performance, aesthetic appeal, and economy. Both use the Clearspan backboard mount, bolt-down anchor base, breakaway goal, EZ-Crank adjustment, and Lifetime Superior Warranty. The differences are straightforward.
The PowerHouse 5 carries First Team's Lifetime Superior Warranty, the same highest-level warranty coverage offered across every First Team in-ground adjustable system regardless of price point. For a permanent bolt-down court installation, this warranty provides long-term assurance that your investment is protected for the life of the system.
