Every Tyrant configuration is built on the FT1910 Tyrant Post, a 6-5/8" O.D. Schedule 40 galvanized steel post buried 48" into the ground in a permanent concrete anchor. The 72" post-to-backboard extension distance is the maximum overhang in the First Team fixed height lineup, providing the court clearance a high-use outdoor playground installation demands. The FT1910NC nose-cone backboard mounting design uses a through-bolt to permanently lock the nose-cone to the post, securing the backboard mount and simplifying installation by minimizing the need to lift the backboard during the mounting process. All Tyrant goals are direct mounted to the backboard, eliminating the stress that indirect goal mounting transfers to the backboard structure.

FT172D Unbreakable Fixed Goal: Lifetime Unconditional Warranty

FT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal: Acrylic Variants

The three acrylic Tyrant configurations — III, Select, and Supreme — ship with the FT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal paired with the appropriate HFM acrylic backboard support structure. The FT186 is built with a 3/16" steel rim support, continuous netlocks, and a low-maintenance indoor/outdoor design suited to playground and recreational court use. The FT186 carries a 2-year limited warranty. Net and mounting hardware are included. The flex design is appropriate for acrylic backboard systems where some rim movement under load is preferred over a fully rigid fixed mount.

Warranty

Every Tyrant configuration carries First Team's Lifetime Unconditional Warranty on the system. First Team's Unconditional Warranty covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism is not covered under any First Team warranty. All painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating. The FT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal on acrylic configurations carries a 2-year limited warranty on the goal itself. First Team products carry no warranty except for obvious manufacturing defects when used in an entertainment or amusement facility where players pay a fee to use the equipment, unless specifically agreed to in writing by First Team.
