The First Team Legend In-Ground Fixed Height Basketball Goal is a permanent outdoor basketball system built on a 6" square, 3/16" thick steel post with a 66" post-to-backboard distance and 48" in-ground bury, available in 18 configurations covering steel, aluminum, perforated aluminum, fiberglass, acrylic, and tempered glass backboards in single-sided, dual-sided, and bolt-down baseplate mounting options. Every Legend configuration carries either a Lifetime Unconditional Warranty or a Lifetime Superior Warranty — both of which cover deliberate rim hanging. Fixed height at regulation 10'. All First Team goals are direct mounted to eliminate backboard breakage when players hang on the rim.

FT1106 Legend Post: 6" Square 3/16" Steel, 66" Overhang, 48" Bury

Every standard Legend configuration is built on the FT1106 post, constructed from 6" square, 3/16" thick solid steel tubing buried 48" into the ground in a permanent concrete anchor. The FT1850 Legend Extension Arm — also 6"x6" 3/16" wall solid steel — is attached to the vertical post via six 5/8" high tensile bolts and positions the backboard 66" from the post for player safety. Though the Legend is classified as a fixed height system, the extension arm can be bolted at any height along the post. The optional FT18 ground sleeve is available separately to make the post removable after installation.

Two Warranty Tiers: Unconditional and Superior

Legend configurations carry one of two First Team lifetime warranty levels depending on the backboard and goal combination selected.

The Lifetime Unconditional Warranty covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason and is exempt from all limitations — including deliberate rim hanging. It applies to all steel and aluminum backboard configurations (Playground, Excel, Impervia, Intensity, and their BP and Dual equivalents) which ship with the FT172D Unbreakable Fixed Goal.

The Lifetime Superior Warranty covers any damage or failure caused by any type of basketball activity or related contact, including deliberate rim hanging, but does not cover vandalism. It applies to acrylic, tempered glass, and fiberglass configurations (Supreme, Arena, Dynasty, and their BP and Dual equivalents) which ship with the FT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal.

Neither warranty covers vandalism. All painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.

FT172D Unbreakable Fixed Goal

Steel and aluminum Legend configurations ship with the FT172D Unbreakable Fixed Goal, direct mounted to the backboard to eliminate backboard stress when players hang on the rim. The FT172D carries the Lifetime Unconditional Warranty and a rust-resistant powder coated finish suited for permanent outdoor installation.

FT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal

Acrylic, tempered glass, and fiberglass Legend configurations ship with the FT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal, featuring a 3/16" steel rim support and continuous netlocks. The FT186 is direct mounted and carries the Lifetime Superior Warranty on Legend configurations. Net and mounting hardware are included.
