The First Team Horizon Competition Portable Volleyball Net System is an elite-level portable volleyball system designed for facilities where floor socket installation is difficult or impossible. Each self-contained base unit holds 700 lbs of built-in ballast, producing bow-string tight net tension with absolutely no floor anchors, guy wires, or tools required. The Horizon sets up in minutes with one person, rolls away for compact flat-fold storage, and adjusts to junior, official women's, and official men's net heights with just the turn of a knob. Every Horizon system includes a First Team Kevlar net, antennas, rope covers, post padding, and base padding, all of which may be lettered at no charge. Available in 20 team colors in two model types: Horizon Complete and Horizon Complete-ST (with SturdiStand padded judges stand). Every configuration carries a Lifetime Superior Warranty.
The Horizon's portable base units are the foundation of the system. Each base carries 700 lbs of built-in ballast, providing enough stability to achieve bow-string tight net tension without floor anchors, guy wires, or any tools. The built-in anti-skid floor protector engages the floor automatically when the post is lifted, protecting gymnasium floors and providing additional grip during play. The low profile base design keeps the base units out of sightlines, providing excellent visibility for spectators and a clear line of sight for officials positioned at court level.
The Horizon is designed for quick, repeatable setup and breakdown without requiring multiple staff members or specialized tools. Base units roll easily across the gym floor into a storage room. Each base folds flat for compact storage, taking up minimal floor space when not in use. To set up for play, stand the post upright and secure it with the locking pin. The entire process is designed for one-person operation.
Net tensioning on the Horizon is handled by a safe, worm-gear driven net tensioning crank, which allows one person to achieve competition-level net tension without physical strain. A bottom rope tensioner is included and covered by rope covers on both base units. A built-in net height indicator shows the current height of the net at all times, eliminating guesswork and ensuring the net is set to the correct height for junior, official women's, or official men's volleyball with just the turn of a knob.
Every Horizon system, both Complete and Complete-ST, ships with the following included as standard:
The Horizon is available in two model types. Both carry the full Horizon system specification and a Lifetime Superior Warranty. The only difference is the inclusion of the SturdiStand padded judges stand in the Complete-ST package.
Every Horizon configuration carries First Team's Lifetime Superior Warranty. The Superior Warranty covers any damage or failure caused by any type of activity or related contact with the unit. Vandalism is not covered. Pay to play amusement facilities not covered. All painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
