The First Team PortaCourt Stellar Portable Recreational Volleyball System is a competition-quality portable volleyball system designed for budget-conscious facilities that need a significant step up from common recreational tip-and-roll type sets, without the cost of a fully sealed ballast system. Each PortaCourt Stellar base is engineered to receive 19 standard 4"x8"x16" solid cement blocks (570 lbs per base), sourced locally at any builder's supply center, delivering game-quality net tension with no floor sockets required. The post slides into a receiver sleeve welded to the front of the base, footpads are lowered with a 3/4" socket wrench, and the system is ready to play at men's, women's, or junior net height. The post is removable for transport through doorways, and base units can be moved by one adult without removing the ballast blocks. Every PortaCourt Stellar system includes a First Team Kevlar competition volleyball net, antennas, rope covers, post pads, and base pads, with free lettering on post pads upon request. Available in 20 team colors in two model types: Stellar Complete and Stellar Complete-ST (with SturdiStand padded judges stand). Every configuration carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
The PortaCourt Stellar base is specifically designed to hold 19 standard 4"x8"x16" solid cement blocks per base unit, totaling approximately 570 lbs of ballast per base. These cement blocks are a standard size commonly available at any builder's supply center or home improvement store and are purchased and supplied by the facility, not shipped with the system. This approach keeps the shipping weight low, reduces freight cost significantly, and allows facilities to source ballast locally rather than paying to ship deadweight across the country. Once loaded, the Stellar base provides the stability needed for game-quality net tension without floor sockets, permanent installation, or anchors of any kind.
The Stellar volleyball post slides directly into a post receiver sleeve welded to the front of the portable base, securing the post without additional hardware. To prepare the system for play, lower all three protective footpads to the floor using a 3/4" socket wrench. The footpads protect the gymnasium floor and provide stability during play. The post is fully removable from the base for transport through doorways, making it straightforward to move the system between rooms or into storage areas with standard doorway clearances. Base units can be moved by one adult without removing the ballast blocks.
Net tensioning on the Stellar is handled by a wormgear net tensioning crank, the same proven mechanism used on the higher-specification Horizon system. The wormgear crank allows one person to achieve competition-quality net tension safely and without physical strain. A built-in net height indicator confirms the net is at the correct height for the selected playing format. Net height is adjustable for official men's, official women's, and junior volleyball.
Every PortaCourt Stellar system, both Complete and Complete-ST, ships with the following included as standard:
Not included: Cement ballast blocks (19 per base, user-sourced locally at any builder's supply center).
The PortaCourt Stellar is available in two model types. Both carry the full Stellar system specification and a Lifetime Limited Warranty. The only difference is the inclusion of the SturdiStand padded judges stand in the Complete-ST package.
Every PortaCourt Stellar configuration carries First Team's Lifetime Limited Warranty. The Limited Warranty covers any damage caused by normal volleyball activity and normal player contact with the unit. Deliberate misuse, multiple player hanging, and vandalism are not covered. Amusement facilities where players pay to use the equipment are not covered. All painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.

"Normal basketball activity" and "Normal player contact" shall be described as any action that is necessary for participation in the game of basketball. Deliberate hanging on the rim, multiple player hanging, and vandalism are not covered under the Limited Warranty.
Superior Warranty:
Covers any damage or failure caused by any type of basketball activity or related contact with the unit. This includes deliberate hanging on the rim. The Superior Warranty does not cover vandalism.
