The First Team Sport In-Ground Fixed Height Basketball Goal is a permanent outdoor basketball system built on a 4" x 4" 11 ga. (1/8" wall) one-piece square steel post, confirmed by First Team as the heaviest post of its kind in the industry at 50% heavier than any comparable goal, with a 24" post-to-backboard extension and 36" in-ground bury. Available in 6 configurations across three acrylic backboard sizes in standard in-ground and bolt-down baseplate options, every Sport configuration carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Fixed height at regulation 10'. All Sport goals are direct mounted to eliminate backboard breakage when players hang on the rim. The Sport delivers a professional look at an accessible price point and is well suited to residential driveways and recreational installations where a compact permanent in-ground platform is the right fit.
Every standard Sport configuration is built on the FT1100 post, a 4" x 4" 11 ga. (1/8" wall) one-piece square steel post buried 36" into the ground in a permanent concrete anchor. First Team's one-piece post design eliminates the joint deterioration common with sectional-type posts. The FT1150 Sport Extension Arm is attached to the vertical post using two heavy-duty U-bolts and positions the backboard 24" from the post face. The U-bolts can be loosened to reposition the arm at any height along the post, giving installers flexibility in setting the final playing height before the system is locked in. The optional FT16 ground sleeve is available separately to make the post removable after installation.
Every Sport configuration carries First Team's Lifetime Limited Warranty. The Limited Warranty covers any damage caused by normal basketball activity and normal player contact with the goal. Deliberate hanging on the rim, multiple player hanging, and vandalism are not covered. All painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
The Sport II and Sport II BP configurations ship with the FT184 Recreational Flex Goal, direct mounted to the FT210 36"x48" acrylic backboard. The FT184 is suited to recreational and residential use where a flex goal on the entry-level Sport II backboard size is the right match for the court and the expected level of play.
The Sport III, Sport Select, Sport III BP, and Sport Select BP configurations ship with the FT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal, featuring a 3/16" steel rim support and continuous netlocks, direct mounted to eliminate backboard breakage. Net and mounting hardware are included on all configurations.
All Sport configurations share the same FT1100 4" x 4" 11 ga. one-piece steel post, FT1150 Sport Extension Arm, 36" in-ground bury, 24" post-to-backboard extension, Lifetime Limited Warranty, and truck shipping. Differences between configurations are backboard size, goal type, and post mounting method.

Limited Warranty:
Covers any damage caused by normal basketball activity and normal player contact with the goal. "Normal basketball activity" and "Normal player contact" shall be described as any action that is necessary for participation in the game of basketball. Deliberate hanging on the rim, multiple player hanging, and vandalism are not covered under the Limited Warranty.
Superior Warranty:
Covers any damage or failure caused by any type of basketball activity or related contact with the unit. This includes deliberate hanging on the rim. The Superior Warranty does not cover vandalism.

Products coverd by this warranty stipulation are indicated in First Team's product literature with a "R" symbol next to the warranty. Under no circumstances shall any basketball product carrying a strictly residential warranty be covered for non-residential use.
Due to the abusive nature of amusement facilities, unless specifically agreed to in writing, First Team products carry no warranty except for obvious manufacturing defects when used in an entertainment facility where players pay a fee to use the equipment.
